Haoduodian Energy Storage Station

Haoduodian Energy Storage Station uses electrochemical cells as energy storage elements to store, convert and release electric energy.

The battery energy storage system (BESS) consists of a battery module of multiple cells through necessary devices (e.g. housings, terminals, interfaces, signs and protective devices), with the state of the cells in the battery module monitored by the battery management system (BMS) and fed back to the upper-level energy management system. The organic combination of battery module and BMS constitutes the energy storage unit in the power station. The BMS in the energy storage unit is responsible for monitoring battery capacity and other information (e.g. temperature, voltage, current and state of charge), optimizing and managing the battery operation state, and providing communication interface and protection for the battery.

    The PCS can realize AC-DC conversion, and complete two-way energy flow between the battery and the power grid. Through control strategies, it enables charge and discharge management for the battery system, tracking of network-based load power, control of charge and discharge power for the BESS, and control of the network-based voltage under normal and off-grid operation modes. It features high conversion efficiency, wide voltage input range, fast switch from grid-connected mode to off-grid mode, ease of maintenance, and comprehensive protection functions, such as islanding protection and DC overvoltage protection.

    The EMS mainly monitors the real-time operation status of the energy storage station, including system power curve, battery voltage and temperature,

accumulated processed electricity and other agreed information. It can install remote monitoring software in the server, remotely control and download data, give an alarm in real time and transmit it to the designated mobile phone. The EMS allows operation and maintenance personnel to check the operation status of the energy storage system in real time and conduct real-time supervision.

The pre-assembled energy storage cabin integrates BESS, PCS and EMS, and is equipped with fire protection, ventilation, monitoring and lighting systems, so as to realize the standardized, modular and integrated management of the whole set of energy storage stations.
